Here, at The Queen's Head we like to know where our food has come from, therefore all our pork, beef and lamb is naturally reared at Shabden Park Farm in Chipstead and delivered by the farmers, Kirsty and Mark, themselves. Most of our seasonal vegetables are supplied by Secretts in Milford and Hillards in Ewell. We use High Weald Dairy in Horstead Keynes for our cheese and our fish comes from The Pure Oyster Company in Pease Pottage who source native fish directly from the port.
Shabden Park Farm has been the home of traditionally reared Suffolk cross lamb since 1995. In 2005, it started a herd of Sussex beef cattle and in 2007, a herd of mixed, Saddleback, Tamworth and Gloucester Old Spot native breed pigs. Their animals are reared on grasses, herbs and wildflowers managed under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme; free from chemical fertilisers, herbicides and fungicides.
Secretts specialise in producing local home grown food, they are based in Millford, near Godalming and are best known for their fresh salads, fruit and vegetables.

Just one example of our local beers, Pilgrim have been brewing since 1982 and aim not only to brew beer, but to brew great beer that customers will really enjoy. Their philosophy, which remains at the forefront of their thinking, is to never compromise quality whilst actively taking on board ideas which will improve their beers. The varying nature of the materials used in production lead them to remain "semper vigila" but they take advantage of these changes to improve each beer. Unlike big breweries which try to keep their beer the same Pilgrim embrace change to create improvement.
The farm is family run, they have 15 milking British Frisian, Dairy Shorthorn and Guernsey cows which produce milk all year round. The farm consists of 150 acres that is farmed under low-intensity methods; free of growth promoters, artificial hormones and stimulants. This way is natural for the cows, better for the environment and healthier for humans.

Their cheese makers craft a delicious range of award winning cheeses from organic and non-organic cows milk, organic sheep milk and most recently goat milk. The majority of the cow milk comes from the cows based on their farm. Their cheese is suitable for vegetarians as they only use vegetable rennet. they do not use artificial ingredients or processes.
